Just want open by saying how useful I've already found a lot of the questions, answers and other info on this board...
Anyway, my wife and I have been teaching ESL here in Korea for the last 2 years, and are planning a relocation to Vietnam after this current contract is up. UNfortunately, we're stuck going home to Canada for Christmas, which means we can't head to VN until after that. But of course, I'm aware that January immediately precedes Tet, which I've gotta figure will be a bad time to land in Saigon and go looking for work.
For anyone who's been there a while -- am I right about this? And if January's bad, is after Tet any better? I know there are SOME job openings pretty much year-round, but I'd like to arrive when the odds are a bit better. Should we wait before coming? (Although cooling our heels waiting in Nova Scotia, living with our parents, with no jobs, in January sounds about as fun as an Abu Ghraib interrogation... )
Either way, I'm reeeeealllly looking forward to that Pho... |
