KLS or the Politecnica or the ones to go for. Good place to live is in Lizardo Garcia between Reina Victoria and Juan Leon Mera, can`t remember the number, but it`s next to Mayo 68 and opposite the Green Olive, a big red house-ring the bell and ask how to find Selma, the owner (she owns a hostel around the corner). I lived there for 3 months and had a great time, teaching at KLS was really good too. Enjoy Quito but be careful, it`s not the safest city in the world, trust me... ! |

Once again, thanks for the great info! I am currently planning to fly down to Quito in late-September to look for teaching work and was wondering if anyone could offer some advice. Generally speaking, is late-September too late to find a job, given that semesters begin in early October? Also, although I have ESL experience (teaching and tutoring in both the States and abroad), I do not hold any formal certifications. Will this pose much of a problem? Finally, can anyone recommend specific centers or schools to contact, either in Quito or elsewhere in Ecuador?
As always, any information you could give would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Lizzle |
