Hi everyone. My wife and I are exploring the possibility of going to Spain to teach. We would be taking our courses in Canada (and yes, it is the best country in the world for all you doubters!) in September and October and hopefully be in Spain by November. We would be looking to teach or tutor until May because we want to travel the rest of Europe, before coming back to Canada in mid-July.
My question is -- are there short-term jobs available in November and is tutoring a viable alternative to teaching in a school? I'm assuming most of the school jobs will be filled by November, that's why I'm asking. Our TESOL school (Global TESOL College) has said it's easy to find jobs, but they don't want to deter anyone from taking their course either, so I figured you folks may have a more realistic view of the situation in Spain (likely Barcelona).
And, is there anything else my wife and I should be wary about?
Thanks for your help.
