Howdy! I'm interested in teaching ESL for 3 months this summer in Latin America, preferably in Costa Rica or Argentina. What is the feasibility of being able to do so, and where should I start looking for possible jobs? |

I've been teaching in CR for seven years. I've never heard of a school that will allow you to teach for 3 months. They all want at least a 6 month commitment. |

There are many other oportunities though, if you would consider them. I went to CR this summer and was involved in the KANTAN project in Boruca, an indigenous area of CR. The project involved many different things ranging from environmental studies to working in the local primary school educating the children about their environment. It was a very rewarding experience for me. You can find out more about it at

Good luck whatever you choose to do! |
