Hi,
Is a Canadian-issued secondary school teaching certificate (12 months) transferable to the UK? My BA will be English/Visual Arts (2007).
Will I need to take a UK certificate? I would prefer secondary school teaching. |

look at:
http://www.teachernet.gov.uk/
....
Anyone wishing to work as a qualified teacher in England must have QTS. If you qualified outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) you can work as a 'temporary teacher' for up to four years without QTS.
To have your qualification assessed for recognition as a qualified teacher, you need to contact the General Teaching Council on 00 44 870 001 0308, email [email protected] or visit their website (link below).
Suitably qualified Overseas Trained Teachers have the option to present themselves for QTS assessment without further training and in some cases may also be exempted from the requirement to serve an induction year after qualification.
