I am just wondering about teaching private English lessons in Poland and what I should charge students. If anyone has had experience in teaching privately in Poland let me know. |

Hi Booty,
Try your local education centres, schools and colleges too. There are many opportunities that go to non-native speakers as the native speakers do not apply for them as they cannot read the adverts, in Polish.
Price depends on your area. I charged 40zl/hour in (1999) so aim for more than that. A minimum 2 hour class, very rarely in my house. I prefer to be able to leave when the lesson is over, some students chat after the lesson... this too is time. |

Once you develop a good rep as a teacher, they will beat a path to your door. I was getting 40zlts per hour (per student) in the southeast corner of the country. Most of these I did at the office and others at home. They started as my students and ended as my freinds. I was also able to rake in another 1000 zlts per month. Good Luck! |
