Hi Brazil people.

Looks like I face the strong possibility of sending packages to Brazil from Japan.

Nothing too valuable, 30$..

I haven't been able to find much info on the net..

Anyone successfully send stuff to Brazil though the public system?

Any advice or assessment of the public postal system would be greatly appreciated.

Take care!

I send packages to Brazil all the time. as long as it is airmail it is ok, regular mail can take up to six months to arrive. The mail service is pretty reliable. I lived in Sao Paulo and taught in a couple of schools. Made many friends and still keep in touch with them. I send packages three or four times a year.

Sending small momentos is okay, however stay clear of sending valubles, as it is more than probable that they will be searched through, and stolen if they have any monetary worth. I know this from experience.

Boa sorte

Actualy I'm sending records once in a while that are valuable only to people who appreciate them.

So far so good. I think the people at that particular postal outlet or wherever wouldn't know what to do with them if wanted to take them.

Intererstingly enough like the other poster above I'm sending them to Sao Paulo so they tend to get there in less than 3 weeks.

Thanks for all your advice. Greatly appreciated....
