Hey there,

I'm moving from Paris to Montpellier and if anyone has ANY info they'd like to share in terms of teaching or even of simply living, please get back to me.

hello,

I used to live in montpellier. what info would you like to know? its a nice little town. there are lots of bums from holland that like to congregate in city centre but they won't bother you (there dogs might though Rolling Eyes ) lots of poopies in the street but as you probably know the french consider stepping in it good luck. where did you get your job?

as for transportation, its top notch. there is both a nice bus system and a new tram that goes throughout the center of town. la comedie and antigone are beautiful. housing and food are very cheap. its a nice place to live. the mayor is also very energetic about expansion.

the best part- living so close to the mediterranean. you can take a bus from the train station to Palavas for the cost of a normal bus ticket (2.10 roundtrip IIRC) and hang out at the beach. or you can do lots of travelling there on the coast and in N. Spain. Go skiing in the Pyrenees and Andorra during the winter Wink

You'll have fun. Nice place to spend time with a companion...lots of foreign influences (mainly spanish but also an asian sector and asian, italian, greek restaurants) and ethnicities there. lots of english also, especially at the clubs, kinda annoying honestly... Mad
