Greetings:
My wife and I hope to go to Kuwait during the Ramadan vacation. For this reason, we have two questions for this Board:

a) Do Canadians like us need a visa to enter Kuwait? If not, are there any rules attached to this like a hotel sponsorship and so on? Please note that I live in Saudi Arabia so I was hoping to take the bus from the Kingdom to Kuwait. Does anyone know about the visa processing at the border if you attempt to enter Kuwait from Saudi Arabia? Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.


b) Does anyone know of at least reasonable accommodations in Kuwait, a hotel or something similar? I have heard that hotels in Kuwait charge 5 star prices but give only 1 star service. However, my wife desperately want to visit some friends in Kuwait so, in this Board's opinion, what is the cheapest hotel in Kuwait.

For visa info you should check with Canada's Consular Affairs website. For info on hotels I would check http://www.virtualtourist.com
