I'm wondering if anyone has worked for the International Academic Assistance Program (IAAP). I sent them my resume and they seem eager to hire me to teach in Mexico. I really would like to find out more information before I go though. Their website sure is cool and boasts that they have won awards, etc. but they also don't let you pick where to teach. I guess I see some plusses and minuses.

If you have any other information about IAAP please let me know ASAP!

I have worked for IAAP for four years, two in Mexico and two in Honduras. They have treated me good and paid me as they promised. What more can I say? I'm happy with what I'm doing and with them.

They have a good reputation in the places where they operate (and tend to not be widely known outside these places). It is not a fly-by-night outfit, and they have a mission larger than langauge-learning. True, at least initially, you will almost surely not be able to select where you work. Also, you will need to be fluent in Spanish, or you will probably not be accepted at any level. The language-location stipulations rule out many people. Of the people I know who have worked for them, none have regretted it. I do not know very many people who have though (just 3) partly because the people I know wanted to control where they worked, and others were bilingual (English and French, usually), but their Spanish was limited to basic communication, so they opted for another choice.
