I got my CELTA in December and after some mis-starts I am now ready to focus my to job hunt on Italy, possibly biased toward the southern half of the country (weather, cost of living etc). I've blitzed tonnes of language schools with an email for any feedback on current, summer or Autumn term vacancies (I'd like to start ASAP and continue for the 03/04 year) and their recruitment procedures. While I sit back and wait (!) I am thinking whether I'd be better off jumping on a cheap flight to Italy and showing up on doorsteps. Is there any really big advantage in doing this at the moment? I'm quite determined to re-locate to Italy but am slightly intimidated by the whole job seeking/logistical deal? Any advice or recommendations anyone can give would be very welcome.
Thanks.
