Has anyone heard anything about the British teacher who was apparently murdered in Tbilisi? He worked for International House and was found dead in his flat this week.

TBILISI, Georgia (AP) -- A British citizen was found dead of a gunshot wound in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, on Thursday, police said.

The Foreign Office in London confirmed that a British citizen had been found dead in his apartment but declined to identify the victim pending notification of family members. A woman who regularly cleaned the victim's apartment found the body, police said.

Friends and Fellow TEFLers

I was the murder victim's best mate here and all of us here in IH-Tbilisi are deeply shocked and saddened by the the tragic event here. He was a brilliant teacher and a very quiet and private man. There seems to be no motive for the killing.

The Tbilisi Police is investigating the case and we hope that the murderer will soon be bought to book. More information about this murder will be put up as soon I can get some from the Police.

I hope that all of us will be extra careful as we breifly sojourn in foreign lands
