National schools are private schools aimed at wealthy Indonesian Students. They have "Western-style" facilities, and hire non-Indonesian
Teaching Staff. Many of these National Schools, also include elite Military
Schools in Bandung.
International Schools are for Children of expatriates. Indonesia, has well over 400.000 plus expatriates, from all Countries. Living and working in the Country.
Obviously, you will need to be qualified, and be of good appearance to
work for one of these Schools.
Bear in mind, living in Indonesia is different to a vacation in Bali, or Backpacking on Java.
Most Organizations hiring foreign staff in Indonesia, look for expatriates
who can adapt to life in Indonesia. Many schools complain of contract Staff, quitting and breaking there contracts. They look for staff, who have the character to stay in Indonesia.
Indonesia, is not like the not so Amazing Thailand. It is a beautiful, intense and rough Country. The majority of expatriates who have problems are Women expats. Relationships break up quickly in Indonesia.
Western women Teachers complain of being "lonely, " and leave. |
