I don't work at Koc, but some of my friends do, and I have spent time there. The campus housing that they provide is very nice, appliances and everything are very new. The campus is located outside of Istanbul, on a hill near the Black Sea. It's a beautiful location and campus, but it is far outside the city. You can take the campus shuttle down the hill, then take a mini-bus and the metro to get into the main part of town (Taksim, where restaurants and pubs are). The journey takes an 1 - 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. If you come home late at night, the taxi ride will be a bit expensive. But, it's a trade off for the great apartment and pretty scenery. It depends on what you want. I can't say too much about working conditions except that the people I know there seem to be happy. And I do know that they pay better than most places in Istanbul. I hope this helps some! |
