I am Canadian and I have a B.A. and an M.A. The degrees are not in English, TESL or Education. I am not TESL certified. I have two and a half years experience teaching english to children in South Korea. Is it possible to get a job in Saudia Arabia or another middle east country with these qualifications. Does anyone know of any solid recruiters for the area? Your help would be much appreciated.

You would stand a better chance with some certification. Teaching in Korea is not necessarily in itself a preparation for teaching in the Middle East. Check out the ads over on the job page and you will find that in KSA most recruiters are looking for relevant degree plus certification plus experience, preferably in the Middle East.

All of the contractors I know are fairly rigid in the demands for certifications and years of experience...minimum of 5 or 6 Years perhaps.
Those prerequisites are not likely to be lowered.
It seems I just saw an ad for a job at KFUPM that paid SQUAT...around what I am making in Texas after taxes. I am surrounded by beautiful women and good pork here, though///or is that beautiful pork and good women ? Rolling Eyes ?
The salaries I have been seeing are not what I was making in 99-02.
They are lower.

Money at kfupm is not great. Long holkidays though. A friend has just been offered a job with one of the contractors at Aramco (Hothy ? Haka ? Whatever). it is $5,500 a month but he has to provide housing, tickets and health cover out of that.
