Ha! I think the usual avian clientele in Kuwait probably eat c0ckatiels for breakfast. I'd really forgotten about seeing those fellows carrying falcons up into First Class.

Kathy... why not post the website address of this hospital so it would come up if someone searches later on this issue. (perhaps you need to get Simsim a little hood and carry him on your wrist...)

VS,

Thanks for giving me my first good belly laugh of the day. SimSim is like one of those little tiny chihuahuas who thinks he's a Great Dane so I'm sure he'd love do dress up like a falcon and fly first class!

Here's the website for the International Veterinary Hospital in Kuwait City.

Thanks again!

Kathy

Lufthansa also flies animals and they are considered the best at caring for them en route. You will not be able to chose your airline if you are working for Kuwait University. You will have to pay your own ticket if you want another airline. K. Airlines doesn't fly animals as far as I know.

There are also import papers that you need from the Kuwait Department of Agriculture. The airport customs RARELY looks for these papers. But you should have them just in case. I have brought my cats through and never had an issue. Although one time in Egypt, the guy at the X-ray machine insisted I put them through the machine!!! I refused. My cats were relieved.

I have a pet Bishon Shizu and would like to take her to Kuwait when we move. Can anyone tell me if that is possible and if so, what I need to do?

Thanks Laughing

No problem taking a dog in (that is a dog, right?)... check with the embassy and the airline for the latest rules and regs...
