I've recently returned to the UK having spent 14 months teaching in Thailand, but i'm eager to get back there soon. Last time round I earnt 20,000baht a month plus all accomodation etc provided, but I really need to earn a bit more to make it worth while a second time. Does anyone know where to go to fulfill this desire?

I know I may be able just to rock up there and find a job, but if I want to secure something before I go over there, what's the best way?

Help! Please.....

I mentioned before on this site a place called Sarasas Ektra -- like most places in Bangkok, they've got their good points and bad, but lots of folks work there for a couple years. It's teaching kiddies at a private Thai school and as an overseas hire, you should get housing included in the deal. Complete package would be worth better than twice what you made the last time, nearly three months paid holidays, etc.

My personal favorite is the Rajabats (sort of like junior college). They get you out of Bangkok, a liveable salary, and you get to experience an authentic Thai lifestyle -- not the expat pub-crawl that is Bangkok.

Yes, the school in Samut Prakarn pays 36,000 plus housing allowance of 4,000 they provide the place or you can move and take the money. Standard contract...is working with children M-F.....so....if you are not into the younger set....maybe not such a good deal...I was told that you must have a degree...but no questions about Celta...etc....I am licensed in my home country and they are satisfied with that.
Good luck!

Actually you could 'secure' something by checking the various job sites, but really you should be here and do some road work to be sure of a decent job.

Employers won't offer top notch jobs on the strength of a couple of emails!!! (Usually!)

You are one of the huge list of posters that wants information based on a very skimpy post! Supply more information...
