Just a brief inquiry to find out from anyone, but in particular a newbie, how the year went at YIC. I passed on the offer last year, but the administration was kind enough to hold it over for the upcoming year. Smile

In the wake of the attack several days ago I received a message encouraging me to begin processing my visa. I have no problem with this. Yet, since I have a few months to get things together I would like to consider as much as possible. So, if there is anyone at YIC who would take the time to let me know how the year was with regard to the accommodations, interaction with administration and staff, attitude of students, and the overall feel of the area I would be much appreciative. With regard to accommodations, I would appreciate as much detail as possible; the size of the dwelling, amount of furniture provided, the size of the bed, TV/Internet, washer, lighting, balcony, pots & pans, dishes, what should I bring, etc., etc., etc. I've been at this for a few years now, in Kuwait and the UAE. So, I have accumulated a few things and don't mind moving my house in order to be totally comfortable--one must pay the cost to be the boss.

My sincere condolences to all who were affected by the terroists' action.

PS: I was also offered a position with Vinnel Corp. two years ago and would have been completing the second year of the contract. I opted for the UAE instead. Hmmmmmmmm . . . another something to consider.

Not being funny, but why would you want to move to Saudi from the UAE at present?
