I agree with the last post ... however moderators on other boards - namely general discussion and newbies boards on top - view it differently. Many threads were nuked out of exitance because the discussion strayed from educational matters. It's a shame. They're probably based in the USA somewhere sipping their Starbucks while they moderate ... |

It started off as a bomb question, went to sources of information, went to Shakespeare, sport, moderators, and Eurovision. Whats to ban?
GrahamB, zero is nul poinz however you try and dress it up.
Cov have only won 1 less Champions League than Celtic.
And Bhutan have only 1 less olympic womens 800m champion than England. The US only has one less reigning Queen than the U.K
What does that prove?
I have no problem with Brazillians, Germans, Italians, Uruguans, Argentinians or Frenchies talking about the world cup, they have earnt that right.
Namibia, Qatar, Andorra, Faroe Islands, Slovakia, as well as Thrace, Prussia, Atlantis, Romeo and Juiliette, Inspector Morse, The Pink Panther, Robbie Williams, and Ncik Faldo have all won the same number of football competitions, no, been in semis, no wait, been in qfs, as Scotland.
Disgraceful scenes in Milan yesterday. No Scottish involvement, looks like another lengthy ban for English clubs from European Competition. |

Now, now, Guty! You were the one who started the wisecracks, were you not? Here's what you said: "Any Scottish football fan needs a wide variety of interests, cos they get no entertainment from sport."
The moral of the story is, if you can't take it, don't dish it out. |

More than happy to take it too GrahamB,
in fact I was setting you up for the traditional
"yeah but we beat England 3-2 in 1968, thus becoming the World Champions"
leading to Allys Tartan Army, and inevitably Bannockburn.
What happened? |

did we? Cheers guty next time we meet for a beer I'll have a bit more ammunition. Curling is beginning to become quite a weak argument. |

Actually, it was 1967. The year in which the Celts won the European Cup, Sandie Shaw won the Eurovision Song Contest, the Beatles released Sgt Pepper, the Court of Appeal released the Rolling Stones, and Muhammad Ali told Uncle Sam to go fight his own war. Now there's a man who should have been President. Sigh! |
