I'm looking at the possibility of attending university in Heredia, Costa Rica. I'm hoping to do some part-time work teaching english before I head to Mexico to do the same. I've been offered a homestay with a Cost Rican family at $350 usd a month which includes a place to stay and my meals. This seems expensive to me, is all of Heredia this expensive or is this the cost of having a "Costa Rican Experience"? Thanks for any info you have |

Heredia has a lot of homestay opportunities. $350 sounds a tad high. You could get the same deal for $200-$250 I think. |

350.00 is very expensive for Heredia. This is probably what the university is charging you and then they keep half if not more. If you read another post i have it has information about my homestay, or pm me and we'll chat
