i've seen there are many recent posts regarding living/working between the two countries, but i still feel that many of my questions/concerns haven't been addressed so i figured i would post some info about myself and see if i could get some helpful feedback..

i am interested in working/living in s. america in order to become bilingual. i have heard most about notably good things about buenos aires and santiago.. does anyone have any other recommedations aside from the two?

i am a 22/f from washington, dc and enjoy the likes of this city.. beautiful, clean and not too overwhelming. can anyone tell me about a bit buenos aires and santiago in their own words and their own personal recommednations?

other questions, maybe someone could address one of two..

how cold is the summer their? aka our june, july, aug?

do you reccomend going through a tefl course, specifically ebc?

can i still find work (teaching english) if i go down this summer, or am i taking my chances w/ schools not starting up for awhile?

any lastly does anyone know about vina del mar? i have a contact there who offered me a free place to stay.. i know its a beach town, but is really dead.. someone compared it to the san diego of chile... is this accurate?
