I'm considering working in Paris and would like to hear constructive comments from anyone who's living, or has lived, there regarding what it's like as a foreigner living there, cost, best places to live, etc.

I have been teaching for five years, am over 30, am from London so am used to a big city, have visited Paris before, and have worked in both Asia and Europe. I have the option of working in various countries at the moment and am trying to make an informed decision. Any useful info & thoughts on life there would be most welcome.
