Hello there, I realize that the SARS situation is changing by the day, but can anyone tell me what happens if you travel to/from either Laos or Thailand regarding quarantine etc.? I'm hoping to go to either at the beginning of June but I don't want to end up a "guest" at the CKS airport hotel for 10 days.
thanks, Hsinchuguy |

don't take NT$ to thailand to exchange. they only do a one for one exchange at all exchange bureaus when in fact the NT$ is worth about 20% more than the thai baht. i lost out when i was in bangkok last month. |

Taiwan says that anyone coming from a country, listed by the WHO as an infected region, will be quarantined. It would also be safe to assume that anyone leaving Taiwan, will be quarantined upon arrival at a foreign destination. Taiwan is now the most dangerous area in the world as far as SARS is concerned. Do yourself and everyone a favor, wait a few weeks or a month.

Re; finding a website, I'm more worried about the reaction of officials on this end than the other, incredibly enough and in spite of the outbreak here, Taiwanese officials still have the gall to deem visitors from many other countries as SARS risks. |
