Is it possible to find something reasonable with CELTA but no experience in Saudi. I am a science graduate too, but that's not a whole lot of use I guess.
thanks |

It is unlikely. Get two years experience and you will find it easier. Unless you want to try one of the employers with a lousy reputation. Al-Rajhi ? Saudi Navy ? |

I am wondering myself about teaching without experience. My BA is in Arabic and I will have a TESL certificate from the University of Colorado. Is it possible since my undergrad is in Language and more specifically Arabic that I could get a decent job in the KSA? Any opinions welcome. |

Apply and see. There are no hard rules in the Middle East. As you must know everything is negotiable - even the negotiability of negotiations. |

Interesting that you have a BA in Arabic. I would be checking out the State Dept.!
I didn't find terms with Saudi employers to be very negotiable at all. You could be a brilliant teacher but not get a job for lack of experience or a dud of a teacher and get a job with the required hours. If the need was there they would come up with creative ways to determine that you had five years experience perhaps, but you had to have the required amount of experience on paper full stop.
Post 9-11 and the occupation of Iraq and the fact that KSA is considered more of a hotbed than previously, there may indeed be a relaxation in prerequisites...I dunno
Peace
