Hello All:
I am interested in teaching English in Mexico and need some help.
I have a TESOL certificate, and a 3 year college diploma in Computer Programming. I have no formal teaching experience but am very passionate about becoming a teacher.
If anyone could pass along some advice on where I should start looking for a job I would be very greatful. I've read numerous posts in the Job Information Journal for Mexico and am a little confused at the moment wondering if my qualifications are enough to land me a job in Mexico.
Thanks in advance

As far as I can tell you would have no problem finding work based on those credentials. It would likely be in a language school though....not a university. |

I worked in Mexico City teaching English in the summer of '01, when I was only halfway through my BA. I had no previous experience teaching English, wasn't certified, and had no work visa. I was hired on the spot by a language school and I taught "Business English" in private corporations. Pay wasn't too bad, considering the cost of living. I only did this part time as I was holding another full time job at the same time.
