I read an article today regarding the "Polish Plumber" and the opposition of welcoming new EU countries to France. Laurence Frost of the Associated Press stated, "For opponents, the 'Polish Plumber' represents fears that under a tighter union, people from poorer European nations will take jobs away in France, where one in 10 is already unemployed." Has anyone felt the affects of what appears to be an extremely high unemployment rate? (e.g. Is there less of a demand for ESL teachers?) What is the current employment situation for ESL teachers in France?
