Well my name is jewish, Im jewish by birth but have had almost nothing to do with the religion. I have an Australian and Canadian passport and a very jewish sounding last name. Can I teach in Oman?

I doubt that they would even notice a Jewish name. If you apply, and they ask - and it is a question on the forms you fill out - most people use Christian. From there on nothing more will be said about religion at all.
