I am a twenty two year old American male with a High School Diploma and an AA degree. I want to go to Ban Phe or Phuket and take the TEFL international TEFL certification course, and then either continue on with one of their service learning programs, or get a job in Bangkok if I can. It seems from what I've read on this and other sites that my desires should be attainable so long as I can live on a small amount and adapt to a totaly new environment and culture. I know that many newbies like myself tend to be rather naive about this type of stuff and I am hoping that if I am incorrect in any of the above assumptions someone will take the liberty to correct me. Also, I'm curious about what other peoples' experiences have been with TEFL international, and lastly what I should do about insurance when I get there. Any information will be much appreciated. thanks.
