here is some info for anyone looking into getting licenced in Greece.




How to obtain a Foreign Language Teaching Licence

Private Education Directorate � Department C

*This is a KEP enabled procedure

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS


1. A photocopy of the foreign language diploma, attested as to its authenticity by the Educational Attache of the Embassy or local consulate of the country, which issued the diploma. Foreign university degrees should be accompanied by an attested photocopy of the academic transcript or may bear an Apostille instead of being attested (in the case of postgraduate degrees the undergraduate degree should also be submitted).

2. An officially certified translation of the foreign language diploma and detailed academic transcript by the competent department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a translation agency operating in accordance with law or an authorized attorney at law.

3. A photocopy of the leaving certificate from a Greek Lyceum or 6-year Gymnasium or Greek University degree. For graduates of lyceums abroad the following documents are required: 1) a photocopy of the school leaving certificate attested as to its authenticity by the Educational Attache of the Embassy or local consulate of the country, which issued the certificate, or bearing an Apostille, and 2) A certificate proving Greek language skills.

4. A photocopy of the applicant�s ID Card or passport.

5. A counterfoil receipt for educational fees, or educational fees stamp, worth � 5.87.

REQUIREMENTS

Foreign language teaching licences may be issued to citizens of European Union and European Economic Area (EEA) member states (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein).
Teaching licences
for the English Language
Licences are granted to a) holders of foreign university degrees in English Literature, b) 3rd year students of English Language and Literature departments of Greek Universities, who they have successfully completed the 6th semester and have passed all exams required to obtain their degree, and c) holders of the University of Cambridge and Michigan Proficiency in English certificates
