Hi. My girlfriend and i are looking to live in Brazil (or possibly Chile, Ecuador) for a while, preferably in a smallish city. We are just starting our planning and are looking for advice/direction/connections/etc. Ideally, we'd love to work in a public school or other government program, but i don't know if this is possible. Of course, we do need some salary to live on... Thanks, David

Greetings,
I'm a Canadian expatriate currently living in Belo Horizonte in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. You can find lots of info about this city on the web, but I can tell you that there's about 3 million people here and it has the highest standard of living in Latin America. There is also an american school here where you could potentially teach if you have the crudentials.

I'll tell you more if you are interested. Drop me a line at danielallen19@hotmail.com
Dan

South America is good for finding on-stie work. Walk around to the language schools and let them know that you are a native speaker. You should have a job before long.
