Hi,
If anyone could help me out on this, I would appreciate it.
My school is barely giving me enough hours to pay rent, and I don't have a scooter to shuttle myself around to various part-time jobs (most of them are advertised during the few hours I'm already working, anyway.)
My school is actually a good one, so I would rather not switch jobs.
They can't give me more hours right now.
I need privates!!
There seems to be no market for them outside of Taipei.
I don't really know anyone here who knows of any privates.
How do you get them?
I need to make more money here!

The most common way of coming across privates is by word of mouth. As you get to know more people you will probably find private students. Sod's law usually applies though. When you really need them they are no where to be found and then when you don't need them you get inundated with requests.

Strictly speaking it is illegal to teach privately yes, but I don't think this should put you off advertising. Just be discreet.
