Hi all,
I was wondering what the market is like now in Taipei now that Sars has mostly quieted down?
What do you see in the next 6 months, a decline, a increase or stagnant wages/jobs?
Thanks for your feedback! |

The good news is that the job market has improved considerably. It has gone from practically no work to something more usual for this time of year. The bad news is that the economic damage is done. Wages are about the same as they were before SARS but there is an obvious decrease in the number of jobs available at this time. Hopefully with the global outlook improving the EFL situation will return to what it was in the past. You can find work it just takes a lot longer.
One of the more positive things this year is the unusually large number of job offers coming from KoaHsiung. It could be that the EFL market has shifted in Southern Taiwan and is becoming more competitive thus the increased demand for foreign teachers. |
