Just a quick Happy Canada Day to all Canucks lost in cactus land. I hope you find a party somewhere. I visited the Canadian consulate in Acapulco to ask what was on for today and they said nothing...not enough community spirit here. NOT ENOUGH COMMUNITY SPIRIT HERE.
So, I'm having my own party. It will have Coronas instead of Molson Canadians (better off anyway), and instead of the drunken parade down Bank Street to Parliament Hill, I guess I'll amble out to the Costera and see what else is red and white (besides varying degrees of sunburn).
Let me tell you, the Canadian community spirit is so low in Acapulco that they offered me a job at the consulate because no one else cares. |

Guy,
I hereby promise that wherever I am next July 1, I will celebrate Canada Day with you, if you promise to celebrate Australia Day with me on January 26.
