I have a job offer in Taipei City. I'm not sure if I should take this job or wait until I get there. I really wanted to have accomodations included but Ive been told that isn't very common in Taipei City. What is the average cost of a furnished suite? I found this position through Supreme Educational Group. Anyone heard of them?
These are the job details: Private Elementary School
1. NT$55,000 for the first three months and NT$60,000 for the remaining with tax free before Tax Law change
2. Two weeks paid holidays
3. Half amount of airfare reimbursement
4. Free temporary accommodation for one month
5. NT$15,000 for renew bonus
6. Insurance cover
7. More benefits for Chinese New Year and Teachers Day
8. Full time job and 10-month contract
I'm not sure what the tax free before Tax Law change is.
Any advice on if I should take it would be greatly appreciated!!! |

The job itself sounds about average for Taipei. Usually there are much better to be had this time of year.
I would suggest waiting until you get here to find a job as it is very hard to research a school that has NO history. Best to go and have a look for yourself. |

Thanks for the reply. Since I'm arriving in Taiwan on August 20. Is that going to give me enough time to find a good job? I would like to start teaching in September. |
