What are everyones opionions of the different hostels in Taipei, good or bad, how about the IH in taipie county?

In general the ones near the train station (the majority) are what you would expect for a city centre hostel. I haven't heard of any horror stories, but then nothing tremendously positive either.
International House is aimed more at students and they can be a bit snobby towards anyone else by only offering their more expensive rooms. Having said that, it is very clean, very well equipped and very well run. The only drawback is the location, which is in Hsin Tien on the top of a rather steep hill, although there is a shuttle bus.
