Since I postponed my trip to taiwan due to sars, I am wondering when I should reschedule.

The reason I scheduled originally was to get in before the 183 day tax deadline. Also, I know august is a good time for University hiring...

Since I will miss all that since i am now considering coming after August, when is the next best time to come, in your opinion?

Is september tough since school has already started? Will finding a job be considerably harder? Then should I wait till october? november or december?

I hope to find a university position as first choice and then probably justa day job with extras on the side if no universities are hiring then...

I also figured it will be hot as heck in the summer there, so more time in cool SF is fine for me now! Smile

Thanks for your input!

Not sure about university positions, but I'd say September is the best time to come from your choice of dates. If you arrived at the end of August it would be better.

The reason for this is that virtually all the buxibans run new summer classes for the students through July and August. These students then usually sign up for regular evening classes when they go back to elementary school, hence there are a lot of new classes and so more job vacancies open.
