Hi! First-time poster here. I'm trying to decide where to take my CELTA course, and IH Krakow is my first choice right now, since my friend worked in Poland teaching ESL and liked it, and I've heard the students are motivated, the price seems good, etc. I'll be coming from the U.S. and am 30 yrs. old, and have never lived abroad before. I have never taught ESL before either. I have travelled in Europe several times though.
Any thoughts or advice is most welcome!!! In particular, I would love to hear from someone who took their CELTA there if they thought the program gave good preparation for someone new to the field. Also, what is it like to live in Krakow and what was the housing like that the IH school helps you find? Did IH Krakow give good assistance in helping you find a job? Also, is it true that I would need to return to the U.S. to get a work visa right after I complete the CELTA course?
Thanks so much for any thoughts you have!!! |
