Quick, simeple question:
Can visas to Kuwait be processed in a third country? Or do they have to be processed in the applicant's home country.

Thanks in advance.

Merlin. No offence... are you from Wales ? [I am - Cardiff]
Your stated location delays an appropriate answer for you, lol.
British and American individuals can just fly into Kuwait and on arrival receive a FREE Entry Visit Visa, valid 3 months that is renewable for another 3 months. Expats work on those these days, although technically against rules/laws - as is a lot done here. When an Employer prepares IQAMA / WORK PERMIT RESIDENCE VISA 18 for someone, they just fly to Bahrain for a coffee and return with correct paperwork, later do blood-test [Bahrain], finger-printing [Kuwait] etc to have a Civil ID Card and Health Card. I have worled here for 5 years and NO WAY would I ever allow my Passport to be retained by anyone. Kuwait Law also states that Passports are to be kept by holder. Yes, I know the practise, but one has to make a point of demanding return of Passport after ID Card issued.
Even, by telling them that the Bank needs to see it or whatever is true.
However, NO, Visas CANNOT be processed in third countries. Cool

Thanks for the information. Sounds like the standard technically illegal-but-everyone-does-it-kind-of-thing. The basic answer as I understand it is: They don't need to be.

I'm from the US. I'm vague about my current location because I may ask some tough questions about potential employers in the future. Or, if hired I may want to whinge about them Wink or a colleague Mad

Thanks again.
