August is holiday month; it's the one month you can pretty much cound on NOT having work. However, you'll be there on the ground for job interviews for September.
Just be sure you have enough money to support yourself for three months (schools pay monthly, at the end of each month, so the first paycheck you'll get will most likely be end of September/first of October). Remember that you'll need to find a place to live (the TEFL training centre will probably give you some leads on this) and pay two or three months rent up front as well. You can see that some savings are really needed to get started! It doesn't have to be tons of money, but do be careful.
As for visas, your employer has to sponsor you, so there's really nothing you can do in advance. |

Lots of work teaching summer camps in summer.
I've never heard of 3 months up front but have heard of the usual 1 plus a month's deposit.
Spiral's right though (for once), not much work otherwise BUT those summer camps can help heaps! |
