My fianc and I are planning on teaching in Japan next year. I have years of expereince here in Europe, my TEFL certification and am an American. He, however, is Belgian. His English is near perfect, and he's planning on taking the TOEFL to have proof. He's an experienced teacher (in Dutch) and is also currently getting his TEFL cert. Any thoguhts on what his chances of finding work are? Or the chances of us finding something together? Thanks for any input!

Hi there!
If you are working in the public schools, I know that there are certain boards of education that specifically look to hire non native speakers. 3 actually work in my board of education. However, I believe all of them have a masters. I don't know if that is a pre requisite or not. A BA definately is though. If you have any more questions send me a personal message!
Cheers
