Hey all...
I was wondering if anyone has worked at either the Study Center or New English Private School in Addis Ababa. I've been in some contact with Ann Rispin, the contact person there, regarding short-term positions in their summer program. Sounds like it would be a month-long position teaching some English and possibly creative arts, with room and board and a small stipend, no airfare.
Does anyone know about this program? From the website, the school looks like a private school serving largely the diplomatic community. I've never been to Ethiopia or anywhere in Africa and I'm not sure how I feel about going there to teach such a limited population, but it's also an opportunity to go and experience a new place on a short-term basis. Any thoughts or suggestions?
thanks!

you would not regret going to Ethiopia and once you are there you can travel around within the country and you would be amazed. it's friendly, safe, fascinating.
I have not heard of either school but I could find out, if you are interested. I have Ethiopian friends in Addis and I could ask them if you would like. What exactly woudl you want to know? |
