Hello,
I'm interested in getting my TEFL cert in France and while I'm still in the exploration stage, there are some schools I'm at least intrigued by.
One is Tefl International (http://teflintl.com/france_Mauzac.htm). Is anyone familiar with this course? Know someone who has taken it? Taken it yourself? Talked to someone of authority from this school?
But I'm a little confused - there also seems to be *another* Tefl International (http://www.teflcourse.com/locations/bordeaux/) with a school in Mauzac. But course dates are different, contact e-mail is different, BUT the course is offered in almost the exact locations as the first one.
I am leaning towards the teflintl.com one, but any information about either of the Tefl Internationals would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance,
:)venus523 |

Dear Venus,
I recently took TEFL International's TESOL course in Plymouth (http://teflintl.com), well, back in June/July, and a couple of the people that were on that course did their two week teaching practice at the twin centre in France where you mentioned. So it might be worth e-mailing the course director at the French centre for info from previous graduates of the programme. If the course there is anything like the one I did at Plymouth, you'll have a blast! I had an amazing time doing the course, obviously it'll be different teachers but if the standard is roughly the same then you'll be fine! The course is fairly heavy going but is well worth it, it's loads of fun and I found them really supportive in all aspects of the course and were able to answer all of my questions (Of which I had many). Not sure what else has been posted on here, but their is also an external moderator that comes in to assess you and they're associated with the IATQUO (Google it...), if you'd like more detailed info on the course particulars then just leave me a note with your questions and i'll try and get back to you with the answers.
And as a by the way, after finishing the course I ended up in a residential summer school and had a fantastic time! Also I've experienced no problems with people recognising the validity of the certificate....now doing interviews for jobs in Japan....
Hope some of this helps |

Thanks for your reply, Squire!
I will definitely be looking into talking with someone at the school in France. It is good to know that someone at another location also had a good experience - shows company integrity.
My gut feeling has been to go with TEFL Intl. www.teflintl.com and not www.teflcourse.com - since I have been unable to find anyone who has taken that course.
Again, Thanks!
