Hello, I am a recent graduate of ELT and I also have a CELTA, I would really like to work and settle in Brighton and was wondering what the job prospects are like down there and what are the chances of obtaining work etc!
Cheers |

If you're looking for a first teaching job Brighton can be a bit tricky as every man and his dog has a CELTA there. It's not impossible though. I'd recommend getting some experience in London or abroad first. |

Dear OP,
You decided against Italy for social reasons then? Something for everyone in Brighton! I never did get your PM, btw.
I have a friend in Brighton (Hove, actually ) , who used to do EFL, but I think she found it a bit seasonal. |

I left Brighton due to lack of work (and experience) - a couple of years away will help hopefully and then I'll return.
There are lots of summer schools which might be worth trying - they may even keep you on afterwards. Also there is plenty of opportunity for private work if you have the time and money to build up some students. |
