Daniel was God's man. A man of real integrity.

If your name is Daniel, he set a high standard to fill his shoes.

Your parents must have expected great things from you if they gave you that name. What happened?

Tha babies may not remember this little diddy, but here ya go, Dan:

When you're alone and life is making you lonely
You can always go - DANtown.
When you've got worries all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help
I know - DANtown.

Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
you can forget all your troubles
Forget all your cares
so go - DANtown
Things will be great when you're - DANtown
No finer place for sure - DANtown
Everything's waiting for you - DANtown.

Don't hang around and let your problems surround you
There are movie shows - DANtown.
Maybe you know some little places to go to where they never close -
DANtown.

Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle bossa nova
You'll be dancing with 'em too before the night is over happy again.
The lights are much brighter there
you can forget all your troubles
Forget all your cares
so go - DANtown
Where all the lights are bright - DANtown
waiting for you tonight - DANtown
you're gonna be alright now
DANtown
DANtown
DANtown

And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you
Someone who is just like you
and needs a gentle hand to guide them along.
So maybe I'll see you there
we can forget all our troubles
Forget all our cares
so go - DANtown
Things will be great when you're - DANtown
don't wait a minute more - DANtown
Everything is waiting for you -
DANtown
DANtown
DANtown
DANtown

Wasn't there some Spanish guy named Dan Quixote? Tried to kill Dutch midgets or something. There's also Dan Corleone, who happened to be the father of Sonny Bono.

There was a Chinese student I once had at a training center named Li Dan. Dan, in his name said with a neutral tone, meant 'festive red.' However, if you say Dan with a downwards inflection it means 'egg.' So one day in class I teased him by calling him Li Dan, emphasizing the downwards inflection. I've never seen a Chinese turn so red from embarrassment.

So anyway, Dan in Chinese means egg.

So you can have scrambled dan, dan over easy, dan salad sandwich, hard boiled dans, poached dans, easter dans, and deviled dans.

The horse is dead and definitely not up for any further flogging.

Cheers.
