I'm in Adelaide, but have never made it to Perth. However, based on people who've worked there, both cities are highly liveable. Job prospects may be your main area of interest. I teach ESL in the state system. There's certainly work around, but increasingly its in regional towns where there have been big influxes of migrant families working in meat processing. If you can get into the Catholic system [being a member helps, but isn't essential] they have a big ESL clientele, as they support lots of refugee families from Africa.
Adelaide has a good quality of life and is affordable. I believe Perth is the same. |

Thanks for the heads up, Super Mario. I like both cities: Adelaide for its 'British' old charm and Perth for the sunny weather. I'm leaning towards Perth at the moment due to its proximity to SE Asia and the demand for LOTE (Indonesian) teachers but I'm open to advice and suggestions. I have until September to decide. |
