The two places that I'd really like to teach are Italy and Turkey--in that order of preference. But I've noticed that the Celta courses offerred in Turkey are several hundred dollars/euros less expensive than those offerred in Italy.
I realize it's the exact same certificate wherever one gets it. But I wonder if by trying to save some money, I might be hurting my long-term chances for employment in Italy.
If nothing else, I assume the schools that offer the Celta in Italy are well-known to the schools that don't offer it, and this alone might be a leg up, at least for that first teaching job. (Yes, I do have an EU passport, which of course won't do me much good in Turkey)
Thanks, and don't hesitiate to let me know if this would be better posted in the newbie forum. |
