There are a lot of questions regarding renumeration teaching English in Indonesia. What exactly can a teacher get teaching here?
This poll, which is anonymous, is to find out what exactly people get. As the poll is anonymous it won't be intrusive. |

I work for a franchise school in a well-known chain. I started with a TEFL Certificate but no experience. As a starting teacher my take-home is 7.25 million Rp per month.
If I want to use the housing provided by the school, they take a deduction of about 500,000 per month. The house is very nice and is in a quiet area a few minutes walk from the school. Most of the teachers use the housing provided by the school, but some of the experienced teachers now rent a house for cheaper, and take the full salary home. |

Well, thanks for those who did do the survey. It would've been interesting to see the actual money earned. Nethertheless i still believe most Enlish teachers come here for the experience, not the money. |
