A very close friend of mine is working at this school. He's told me some wonderful things about it and the area. I was hoping that anyone from this board who had any insight or experience with the area and the school might comment. I am curious. |

I haven't had direct experience with it. Though I've heard it's one of the best in Peru. YOu need about five to ten years experience just to apply. The only bad thing that I've heard is that the teachers don't mix with the locals, they kind of live in their own bubble.
Cajamarca is cold, in the mountains, the scenery is beautiful and there are lots of natives who live there and wear traditional clothing. |

Thanks for the response. I sent my CV over today. I have the experience and certs in French, Spanish, English and art. So, we'll see.
My friend is my former host brother, from 15 years ago in Valencia Vzla. He emigrated from Venezuela, and just now brought his mother over as well. His wife is Venezuelan and both kids born in Peru. Since high school we have been plotting to work together and now he is an IB coordinator over at Davy.
So I wll keep you posted anyway! |
