Would you recommend them? Why or why not?

this year there is a new scheme. public schools cannow legally hire foreign teachers. it wasn't this way in the past. the schools have enlisted agents to help them find "qualified" teachers. why anyone why a B.Ed would give up pensions, job security and the benefits of a tenured situation would give it all up to take a flier on a possible job that might work out on a nine month contract is a puzzler indeed.

to meet the demands of the schools, several new recruitment agencies seem to have sprung up like mushrooms after a spring rain. the entity you are seeking info for is new to me. they could be a well respected entity with years of exp. and scores of happy clients. ask them directly. ask them. if they should opt for the the "let me put the manager on...oh he's not here" ruse, immediately assume the worst. give heavy consideration that such a firm may be more of the mushroom rather than the sturdy oak variety.

The public school system has started to hire foreign teachers but be warned nearly all foreign teachers are hired through a third party(agent). That means you have no guarantee of getting paid and your ARC may not have been obtained through legitimate means, if it is obtained at all. Most reports we have from teachers in Taichung, Nantou, Ilan and Chaiyi public schools indicate that their taxes were withheld incorrectly and never submitted to the tax bureau. They also have been refused the right to participate in the National Health Insurance program.
