Hi. I have to appologize for my ignorance on this issue, but i have never really looked into it. In about one year I will be looking for an EFL job somewhere. i dont know where yet, but i have many ideas. I have never really considered Canada as an option. My question is this: Can a US citizen with a B.A. in TEFL, and a TEFL certificate get a decent job teaching english?
Thanks in advance.

Are you eligible to work in Canada? |

In a nutshell, NO WAY. Unless you are also a CDN citizen, you won't find work. There are loads of Cdns with the same or more qualifications as you. To sponsor you, an employer will have to say that no one is as qualified as you in Canada for the job. Even CDNs can't find work, hence why so many of us are overseas. |
